Way 2 Go, Buc-ees Boys!

That was a heck of a week from Peyton Manning to win the championship. He carried you even though most of your other players took the week off! Of course Berger was sunk by a pathetic performance from McNabb, but that's par for the course for the Eagles...

And what the heck happened to our regular season champ? I haven't seen a fold like that since the World Poker Championships.

Round 2 done

So round 2 is done.

In the winners bracket, Ben goes nuts with 6 players over 13 points. And Westbrook isn't even one of them. With another 30 points from Westbrook he would have had the high score of the year. Jake has a down week with almost everyone underperforming, and Ben is through to the superbowl.

On the other side, 8 seed Sooners puts up another ok score, but they're not playing my stumbling team this weekend and it's not enough. Kevin has a great week, with Andre Johnson going nuts. Sooners have Dominic Rhodes with a great day, but too many miserable performances thrown in there.

I've done amazing with the lowest 2 scores of my season and of all the people in the playoffs. I guess I built a team for the regular season only. Postseasons are for chumps. Uncle Chris can at least say he played someone in the superbowl. Kate squeaks by Mike on quarterback play, mostly. Steve Smith and Turner are both great but balance each other out.

First Round Underway

So the bottom 6 are done and the top 8 play on. There was a clear cut divide, with the 6-7 teams making it in and the 5-8 teams out.

The first round is pretty interesting. The top seeded teams all fell behind at first, at least when I looked they didn't have a good start. Jake and Ben pile on points late though, while Uncle C isn't looking too good against Kevin and Shonda/Ray and I are neck and neck. I'm up by 19 but if projections hold tonight, Shonda's DeAngelo Williams and her Defender will put her ahead by about 3. It does seems like defenders are often overrated by a few points, and that projection is on the high side for Williams unless he gets 2 TDs. Uncle Chris can still win it with about 16 from his kicker. It doesn't happen often, but I'm hoping it does because it will mean Tampa and Williams didn't score many Touchdowns!

The other two matchups are over, with Jake laying a pasting on Mike. Mike has to be the unluckiest team this year. Interesting because he was the most lucky last year - the pattern repeats from what Brandon/Jim have suffered. Brandon/Jim were luckier and have been paying for 2 years. Mike was less lucky last year, so maybe only has to pay for one year?
Ben has gotten 60 points from Westbrook the last 2 weeks. Wow. He beats up on Kate who doesn't get a very good score, I actually thought she would be pretty well off this week.
