Stitch (Rust Belt-93.40) over Kate (teen girl squad-71.46)
Kate loses again to bring her down to the middle of the pack again. Stitch wins to bring himself up the 5-5 middle and the last playoff spot at the moment. Poor Kate leaves McGahee on the bench who drops a 20 point bomb after doing nothing for so long. Poor, poor Kate. Stitch leaves Tony Romo on the bench who was on a bye and scored 0 but would have been better than the awful Mark Bulger. Who got benched at half after putting up a nice negative fantasy day.
Stitch again leave his D on the bench instead of playing them. We've talked about hitting the 'Submit' button but I don't think his education is doing him any favors. Kent read, Kent write, Kent hit the submit button.
Meldewe Moore has one last good game? Cribbs and Gates come through and Steve Breaston looks like a real option as the #3 in Arizona. Kate doesn't get much of anything from anyone, though no one is especially awful either. Just poor or mediocre across the board, except for Will Blackmon running back a kick return TD. Kate you need to hold a team meeting and build some team unity for the stretch run here. And trade me Jason Witten, he's a locker room cancer.

Me (Juicers-89.68) over the Winklers (Sooners-85.79)
I get the luckstick award this week with the lowest winning score. Although I could have beaten 5 of the 13 other teams, and took two injuries on the starting lineup. But still pretty lucky all the same. Lance Moore continues to shine as a late season pickup, but only because of a junk-time score in the Saint's debacle. Barber was on the bench DeAngelo Williams was the best RB in the matchup, which is kinda strange to say. I had a huge comeback from down 35 Monday night, wich Warner and Fitzgerald making the spread against Hightower. Warner continues as the best fantasy QB, which is a big saving grace for me. The Winklers have better even numbers, but Gus Frerotte looks poor. Kevin Boss is actually a good tight end, too, which is pretty hard to find this year. But they lack the big score to overcome the QB bad score, and that gives me the opening to win.
Brandon/Jim (Chunder Blunders-127.20) over Jeremiah (Browns Jr 110.51)
The Chunders put up their best score of the season with good timing. Also the top score this week. They take down Jere who posts the highest losing score this week. Jere beats 9 other teams this week, but plays one of the 4 he can't handle. Maybe with a defender? Nah...
Brandon gets awesome RB1 and RB2 points, but the flex does still stink. Faulk doesn't show up strangely after being such a big part of the offense for a few weeks. Peterson and Jacobs more than make up for it though. Colston really comes back and Carolina's D must have been great to win with Delhomme playing like a wet blanket.
Miah's Moss and Edwards continue to stink, but he gets good scores from a lot of other players. And the Jets D does even better than Carolina's. Thomas Jones also goes nuts in that game against St. Louis.
This matchup was the rookie QB stand-off, but both guys play well. The top scoring matchup this week is the battle of the 2-7s. Further proving how much of a crapshoot this is.

Dad (Desperados!-115.62) over Jacob (Miracle Workers-82.55)
Ben wasn't the only 8-1 team to fall. Jake also puts up a bad score, his first, really, but somehow it doesn't turn out so low as you would expect knowing his roster. Addai, Cotchery, Chris Johnson, Drew Brees, Calvin Johnson... we didn't hear from these guys this week. But Calvin did get some yards even though he had 2 catches. And Brees scored a ton of points despite playing a terrible game. Jake drops below 100 two straight weeks, which is remarkable in that it hasn't happened until now. Dad puts up an excellent score. Favre actually takes care of the ball but only gets one TD out of the 1000 against St. Louis. But Eddie Royal, Scaife, and Reggie Wayne all do well. Many other players with decent points or so as well. If you looked at just the scores you would think the other team was the 1-8 team. But that's the fantasy football.
Mike (Zingers-111.34) over Ben (thehousebergerbuilt-50.70)
Non-game of the week #2.
Mike gets 45 points from Jay Cutler destroying his beloved Browns. Brandon Marshall scores a bunch of points as well. Even Mercedes Lewis scores a few points. But really the story here is Cutler. Ben barely scores more points than Cutler alone, and when Ricky Williams who you just picked up off the Free Agent list is your best player, you are hosed. Although Ricky does have a pretty good week, strangely. It seemed as if Ronnie Brown was getting all the touches, but now maybe Williams is back in the mix.

Kevin (Buc-ee's Boys-113.92) over Rowan (Aspire mi Toro-42.82)
Non-game of the week #1.
Rowan takes 2 0s. One his own fault (Steven Jackson isn't playing dude) and one from Chancey Stuckey, who has actually done some nice stuff for Row. But Stuckey didn't score any of the Jet's 1000 TDs against the Rams and didn't catch a pass, either. Meanwhile Winslow rots on the bench scoring TDs and kicking ass. Kevin has nice numbers from Ronnie Brown and Matt Forte, which has to be some of the nicest numbers from two low pick RBs. Peyton Manning continues his comeback. And Ray Lewis goes nuts buy manages not to kill anyone outside any clubs. That we heard of, yet.
Rowan is the low scorer of the week, and falls to last place.

Mom (Rockhoppers-103.25) over Uncle Chris (Space Cadets-102.02)
Game of the week! Mom could have been on the outside looking in at the playoffs, but is now a mere 9 tiebreaker points away. Uncle Chris comes storming back from way down on Monday night, but Boldin doesn't quite do it and Mom stays on top with an uneven performance from Frank Gore. Unfortunately Uncle Chris had the fatal early QB injury... oh wait... Delhomme didn't get injured? And Carolina still won the game? Only the Raiders patheticness outdoes Delhomme's. Uncle Chris gets a total of 81 points from Baltimore's D/ST, MoJo Drew, Boldin, and Ginn. And not much else. Mom's Chris Chamber's hardly plays and doesn't catch a pass, but still gets nice even large numbers elsewhere to pull it out.

Highest losing score - Dad - 96.39. Beats 8 other teams including all other losers this week.
Luckstick - Uncle Chris with 70.94. Only beats 3 scores but manages to play one of them.
High score - Kate - 119.86
Low score - Rowan - 42.05
Jake is tied (with Uncle C) for the easiest strength of schedule with opponents only putting up an average of 85 points, despite my 147 bomb against him.
Dad's opponents are scoring an average of 96.
Jake is averaging 5.75 TD per week.
The first 4 weeks I got 16.5 points from my kicker.
The last 4 weeks I got 43 points from my kicker.
Tight Ends suck this year - no one is averaging in double digits per week. The top 10 include such draft luminaries as Visanthe Shiancoe and Anthony Fasano. The 10th best Tight End is averaging less than 5 points per game.

Kate (teen girl squad-119.86) over Winklers (Sooners-66.07)
Kate lives in Pittsburgh and now roots for big Ben.
But her Giants put him on the ground again and then again.
I don't know how she wins when she plays Pennington,
especially with injuries to stud TE Witten.
Chad Pennington, Witten and Vincent Jackson.
The whole team rhymes with Tomlinson, even Will Blackmon.
The Winklers had the Pittsburgh D but they do nothing good,
and no one makes the endzone, not even its neighborhood.

Ben (thehousebergerbuilt-112.19) over Kevin (Buc-ee's Boys-87.88)
Ben manages to win despite three guys that suck.
If you get more than a point from Harrison you're in luck.
Kevin plays both Dolphins backs and that's not too great.
Now he's dropped Williams but it's already too late.
My goodness Ben gets points from Westbrook the Philly Machine.
Santana Moss must have synthetic oil to keep that old engine clean.
Of course no ones knows if Westbrook will really play,
It's only a matter of time before half this team's N/A.

Mom (Rockhoppers-106.75) over Mike (Zingers-82.04)
After 5 weeks, Mom stops the fall.
Even fumble Gore manages to hold on to the ball.
Philip Rivers flows again, and Kevin Walter scores.
Meanwhile Mike's Mike Turner gets nothing but snores.
He's only good once every other week,
At least Marshawn Lynch still looks a whole lot like a freak.
Seriously he runs, he zigs and he has great handle,
but in looks the Incredible Hulk doesn't hold a candle.
Mom's rising again, back to the attack.
Mike is falling now and is back to pack.

Uncle Chris (Space Cadets-70.94) over Jim/Brandon - (Chunder Blunders-49.46)
A sad little matchup, Uncle Chris has no grace.
He plays without Boldin, the TD catching ace.
He does have Steve Slaton, and Delhomme to pass,
But Little L. Little falls flat on his ass.
Jim/Brandon can't matchup anyway without a quarterback,
Don't count Fitzpatrick, who couldn't throw jack.
Only Kevin Faulk could do anything decent,
The rumors of the luckstick are anything but recent.

Jacob (Miracle Workers-105.62) over Rowan (Aspire mi toro-42.05)
Mister #1 who no one can beat.
Even Cedric Benson can't ruin this heat.
With two Johnsons, a Bush, and a man named Rod
Jake picked his team with the lewdness of a Greek god.
Rowan hardly bothered, fielding half a team
but looking at his options they were a little lean.
And to end this poem with something nice and rude,
Rowan aspires too much johnson, and his wins stay at two.

Frank X (Juicers-97.94) over Frank R (Chumpbeaters-96.39)
I'm going to break this up into pieces so I don't have to do it all at once.
Matchup of the week is easy to see.
Dad's team is 1-6 but thinks to beat me.
Even if I lost I'd still be third.
Monday night Reggie Wayne laid a big turd.
Leon Washington gave dad some hope.
But Manning missed Wayne and hit Chris... err.. Hope.
Better luck next time Dad if you can make it to the season post.
Without Tom Brady your chump team is toast.

Week 6 Wrap
Oh my, it's never old beating New York. Eli Manning's whiny face just reminds us that he cried his way out of San Diego to go play with the Giants. What an undeserved championship, but at least it came at the cost of Boston.
Matchup of the week is an easy pick again, the highest and 2nd highest scores square off this week and Jake (Miracle Workers - 121.44) eeks out the win over Kevin (Buc-ee's Boys - 120.20). Kevin is the uber-unluckstick this week where he would have beaten everyone else but comes up against the highest score. So many ways this could have gone to Kevin, it was so close, but one interesting one is Calvin Johnson has a good day and Roy Williams a poor one, even though they are on the same team. Manning the greater and Brees have great days, Andre Johnson is a monter, both teams get 5 double-digit scores. Jake loses Addai at the opening of his game, which may affect him for a while. Jake gets a few tackles from offensive players and that's another difference maker. Jake is currently crossing his fingers that the score corrections don't take anything away on Wednesday! Ask Mike about that one ;)
On the other end of the spectrum we have the 2nd worst and 4th worst scores in Kate (teen girl squad - 72.23) over dad ChumpBeaters (68.94). You might think Dad got a terrible performance from his defense, with 0 points from Carolina. But Kate outdoes him with a nice -1 from the Giants, who also don't do anything but allow a bunch of points to the Browns. Kate is in Honduras, though. I don't know what Dad's excuse is. Dad's Reggie Wayne is a beast but Kate's Vincent Jackson manages to one up him for real this time with a great game. Kate has the lowest winning score and is taking over the luckstick prize.
Miah (Browns Jr. - 74.52) doesn't live up to his new team name and pays the price against the Winklers (Sooners - 78.08). Mr. Browns doesn't play Braylon Edwards who scores a billion points and would have easily won Miah the matchup if he had played in any of the WR or flex spots. Miah has the career days from Thomas Jones and Tampa Bay's D but it's not enough without Edwards. The Winklers have more even scoring, but too many people I've never heard of on that team. Keller? Camarillo? I seem to remember hearing of Gus Ferotte about 20 years ago...
Stitch (Rust Belt - 87.46) manages to beat a good team in Uncle Chris (Space Cadets - 81.07) by only playing half a squad. I was going to say he's gone totally deliquent, but he's already set a lineup for next week finally. And all but the QB are actually playing that week. Stitch actually would have gotten a few points from his Seattle D if he put them in, but all he needs this week is Romo and Portis to beat Uncle C. Portis gets his revenge after being traded by Uncle Chris for a hill of beans last year. He says he's learned his lesson, and now we can believe him. Uncle Chris gets a nice day from MoJo when Fred Taylor gets hurt early, and Morris might make me sorry I traded him. Uncle Chris loses to Romo on his last healthy week, and now gets salt in those wounds with his starting WR1 and WR2 getting thrown to by a backup.
I (Juicers - 92.68) roll over Rowan (Aspire Mi Toro - 50.24) who posts the lowest score this week. Rowan has a nice game from Orton and... an ok game from Stokely who he just picked up, but after that things fall off quickly. Warner, Fitzgerald and Barber are enough for me to win handily, but I lose Taylor to injury, with a nice set of easy games coming up. Fortunately I don't pay the full price for that since I see Uncle Chris's MJD this week with the Jags on a bye. Jason Elam has an outstanding day kicking 5 field goals including the game winner.
Brandon/Jim (Chunder Blunders - 70.88) falls again to Mike (Zingers - 80.87). CB has 6 players total up to 10 points, and that's really just too much to overcome the rest of the way. Peterson and Leron McClain have terrible games against terrible run defenses, to prove that you never know what's going to happen in this thing. Derek Anderson comes back from the dead against a excellent defense, to further prove it. Mike gets just enough to win by putting up ok numbers across the board. Hester is starting to look like more than a return guy, but the rest of Mike's depth disappears this week.
Mom (Rockhoppers - 75.05) is rapidly falling off the top of the fantasy heap as she a 4th straight, this time to Ben (thehousebergerbuilt - 119.04) Ben's been putting up good scores, even with some starters out with injuries. I still think Mike has one of the deepest teams, but Ben has to be close. Eli can't do anything for Mom Monday night - maybe they'll send him to LA, too. Frank Gore continues to kick butt, trying to take after me and my domination of WOHS FFB. Ben gets to start Rodgers against Seattle, which is always a nice QB matchup, and Correll Buckhalter doesn't seem to slow down from Westbrook's torrid pace.
I went from worst kicker performances on average to getting the best performance so far this year from a kicker. And then Elam goes on bye. Shrug. Rowan gets a weak 11 points from his drafted players this week for a record low. Mike has lost 2 games by an average of less than 2 points. Kate has a low score despite setting a new record high for receiving yards. While Jake puts up a great score despite a record low in rushing yards.
Good luck everyone - see you next week.

Week 5 Wrap
Well an easy matchup of the week, dammit.
Mike (Zingers - 91.97) and I (Juicers - 91.44) square off in the 1 v 4 battle. It doesn't work out for me as the hookup from Warner to Fitzgerald is my only real source for points. Everyone else does poorly and can't get in the endzone. Mike gets nice points from Turner and a great game from Cooley. And a huge reception from Lee Evans, who scores more than 15 points with only 2 receptions, but one of which is a 80+ yard TD. Evans also gets a tackle, which is the difference in the matchup as we play down to the wire and he wins by half a point. Monday night I'm down by about 5, and Stupid Reggie Bush kept returning punts for TDs instead of letting my Lance Moore catch another pass. Mike wins by an assisted tack, a 4 yard reception, or 8 rushing yards. Sick. But now I post the highest losing score and can give up the luckstick and the undefeated burden, unless a score correction kicks in on Wednesday!
It was a low scoring week in general and the high score this week is Jake (Miracle Workers - 106.52). Mom's (Rockhoppers - 70.71) the unlucky one that has to play #1. Jake gets almost all his real points from weird places - Reggie Bush return yards and TDs, a kicker that has been blah, a defender that goes wild on tackles... most everything else is disappointing for steady eddie. But if you can break 100 every week you don't ask too many questions. Bush and Breez look out of sync though, except for those return yards. Mom's Rivers is returning to the average QB he really is, but Gore continues to be one of the best RBs out there. Mom really gets sort of average scores from everyone and no stand outs means no win. She uses up the low score of the week and of her season against the top score of the week though, which is a nice coincidence.
Brandon/Jim (Chunder Blunders - 76.17) was also in a nice spot against Kevin (Buc-ee's Boys - 101.13) on Monday night, with Adrian Peterson to go against Kev's Henderson and Minnesota D. But Peterson gets stifled by the poor NO D, while Henderson has his best game of the season and Minnesota blocks a kick for a TD and NO puts the ball on the ground a ton. The upshot is Kevin wins handily when it looked like he'd probably lose on Monday night. Brandon's Brandon Jacobs and Kev's Andre Johnson start to show up, while Matt Forte gets one of his 2 games against pathetic Detroit. Chunder can't overcome horrible Detroit, by being stuck with Kitna's 2 points it's over.
Stitch (Rust Belt - 91.54) gets his 2nd straight win against Rowan (Aspire mi Toro - 87.62), even without a defense. Maybe he was thinking of starting his Seattle defense and was afraid the negative points would get him a loss. Don't worry Stitch, Seattle only got -3 points, you would still have won by a tenth of a point! Rowan meanwhile gets great points from Chicago's D and QB, which is only because they played Detroit. Damn Detroit sucks, what a craphole. Portis continues to roll and Stitch gets 6 TDs - tough to beat.
Uncle Chris (Space Cadets - 103.37) ties the streak record winning his 4th in a row and beating Kate (teen girls squad - 87.35). Delhomme has a 2nd straight great week. While, plenty of players turn in somewhat better than average scores to break the century mark. Steve Slaton has come on as a top RB, even when his team stinks it up. Kate gets nice scores across as well except LT and Lendale White fall off the face of the earth and that's really the difference. LT is looking like a 3rd or 4th rounder this year, but who wouldn't have taken him #1 overall?
The always deadly early QB injury sinks Dad (ChumpBeaters - 76.18) against the Winklers (Sooners - 94.48). Dad takes over the loss streak, losing them all after the initial win. He had the highest losing score of the year last week though with 124 points, so it might be a false stat. Also this early QB injury sort of kills most of your hopes. With less than a point from the QB the 20 points from JT O'Sullivan is too much to overcome for the rest of his team. Carolina posts a shutout for Dad against one of the horrible Missouri teams. Missouri is almost as terrible as Detroit. Terribler, even. Heath Miller scores and Reggie Wayne has an amazing TD catch. But 2 TDs doesn't do it. The Winkler's O'Sulllivan throws for 3 and Hightower rushes for 2 himself. Dammit Warner you should have thrown one of those to him and I'd have won easily.
For bad QBs that aren't from Detroit and didn't get hurt, see the Miah (Browns Jr. - 74.92) versus Ben (thehousebergerbuilt - 77.32) matchup. 3 players in the matchup with less than 1 point, and 2 QBs with less than 10. Muhammed outdoes anything Braylon Edwards has done for Miah this season, but being forced to play him by the Brown's bye cannot save Miah when Ben's Bernard Berrian makes a ridiculous catch against New Orleans Monday night. Ben pulls out the victory since someone has to win, and posts the lowest winning score of the week to takeover the luckstick.
So we'll see if the low scores this week were random or the result of byes and injuries weakening our teams. Running backs taken early are a crapshoot this year again - Gore, Barber, Westbrook and Peterson the only #1 backs to be earning their keep. Reggie Bush has the #1 spot in our scoring, which I know surprises Jake - want to trade for McFadden? ;) Don't be fooled - we all know nothing.
Good luck next week, except Rowan.

Week 4 Wrap
There can be only one
Well, really there could be more or zero but since I'm the last undefeated I might as well brag.
Easy matchup of the week pick this week as an 0-3 sad sack team takes down an undefeated in a barn burner. Stitch (Rust Belt - 103.79) beats Mike (Zingers - 100.16) who's good score isn't good enough. Stitch didn't even need the Ward TD I'd predicted he'd need, because James Harrison goes nuts on defense and puts up 19 points. Damn Stitch how does it feel to win because of some Steelers turning in an awesome performance? I guess he did go to Kent St., though. Mike's team still looks very good and he might have the depth to put up high numbers almost every week. Issac Bruce and Randle El are riding the pine because that team has so many players.
The Browns win and so do two Clevelanders, and their teams aren't total homer teams. Just coincidence? Miah (Browns, Jr. - 133.97) puts up the high score of the week, which is only ~30 points less than his previous 3 weeks combined. Larry Johnson goes off, and Mushin Muhammad, Edge James are great, and even Braylon Edwards has a decent game. Dad (Chumpbeaters - 124.02) gets huge points from the Favre-Coles hookup, but the points drop quick after that. With three terrible scores he can't match Miah, and Dad is the unlucky SOB playing the high scorer this week, and he turned in a score that's a virtual tie for 2nd this week, ouch.
Which makes me (Juicers - 82.41) the lucky SOSOB. Kevin (Buc-ee's Boys - 63.64) does even worse with the low score of the week. I drank his milkshake but it was only because he didn't want it. 8 players below 4 points. My saving grace is that some of my good players looked terrible, so hopefully I'll bounce back. Kevin has no hope. Actually he just had a bye week for his entire bench so he put together what he could. An interesting tidbid - at halftime of the 1:00 games, my QB Warner had -3 points, and Kevin's QB Griese had 10 points. At the end of the game, Warner had 28 and Griese had 7. Warner also set a new season record for passing yards.
Brandon and Jim (Chunder Blunders - 99.67) get off the schneid against Mom (Rockhoppers - 72.31). Brandon and Jim's defense rotary did not pan out this week, since Denver is absolutely atrocious on D. Chunder Blunders get a nice diet of good scores across, while Mom does ok but doesn't keep up. The QBs and Ds really stunk it up, and both teams could be excellent when the question marks players turn in a good week. Hope you don't see them on one of those weeks.
Jake (Miracle Workers - 124.50), the former top 2-1 team takes apart the former #1, Ben (thehousebergerbuilt - 74.15). The end of the Yankees season got to Berger and he forgot to replace Westbrook. Westbrook's great and all but will hose you a few times per year with this will-he-won't-he injury game. Jake gets TDs from Chris Johnson, which could make his team the new favorite if that keeps up. Although Bush's thunder got stolen somewhat. Brees looks good again and justifies the high pick. Berger doesn't get a banner day from anyone this week and turns in a pedestrian score. Injuries hurt him this week, but he has injury prone players so we'll see if that's the exception or the rule. Santana Moss looks like a real stud this year, back from the dead.
Kate (teen girl squad - 105.40) rises to 2-2 against Rowan (Aspire Mi Toro - 94.04). The QB is the big difference here, as Kate has one real one and Rowan has 3 fake ones. Kate could have put up a top score this week, but didn't get a defense in that was actually playing. Of course if she had New England they might have lost it for her, too. Ha, they really blew it didn't they? What a shame to see that team get spanked but a former whipping boy. Anyway, Kate's Tomlinson is looking like a the first overall pick again, and Steve Smith and Witten are tops at their positions. Her protestations of her innocence and patheticness fall on deaf ears.
Uncle Chris (Space Cadets - 104.73) takes over 5th place with his 3rd win in a row. Steve Slaton is really going to be a player, and Owens/Boldin/Delhomme can be a nice set of points. Boldin might be out for a bit though, we'll see. The Winklers team (Sooners -81.34) is another team without a real QB, and it shows here. The real pain is not having any real starting RB, which Uncle Chris now swears he knows the value of, yo. This looks like frequent sophomore slump for the Winklers, picking a team of sleepers instead of tried and true skill players.
We could have had a 1 v 2 matchup of the unbeatens with Mike and I this week, but it's now 1 v 4 with his loss. I'm definitely playing the toughest schedule if you go by rankings at the time of the matchup, but I just got a gimme from Kevin on a week when I needed it. Stitch's opponents have scored an average of 110 points. Sooners are only getting 2.75 TDs per week. Dad's getting 5.75 per week but is 1-3. I'm getting half a field goal per week. Good thing I didn't make them worth much.
See you on the virtual gridiron.

Week 3 Wrap
OK, it has to be quick this week as I'm traveling for work. Boston, which is such a tortured sports city with their recent loss to the Dolphins. The poor guys with their ESPN slobber, absurd number of NBA championships, and amazing recent success in baseball and football. The curse? The curse of winning?
Matchup of the week goes to Rowan (Aspire - 88.09) over Sooners (91.24). Rowan gets a nice 10 point performance from Chansi Stuckey (who?) to win it on Monday night. So one of those upsets did come home. Way to beat up on the team that's helping hurricane victims, Rowan. You must be proud.
I (Juicers - 108.28) was up by 54 or so over Mom (Rockhoppers - 90.66) on Monday morning, but Monday night was pretty crazy. Rivers and Chambers were on pace in the first half to catch all the way up. They stalled around 36 points when they got up by too much and San Diego started running the ball. Mom drops off the unbeaten group.
Mike (Zingers - 141.14) posts the high score for the week and beats Kate (teen girl squad - 96.16). Now the top 3 teams have posted the high scores the first three weeks. Brandon Marshall looks awesome again. Marshawn Lynch is a great late 1st round RB. He gets 4 players over 20 points, and an outstanding kicker performance. Kate's LT finally starts playing like a number 1 pick, but doesn't get enough help.
Lowest winning score goes to Uncle Chris (Space Cadets - 82.35) over Miah (whatever name he has now - 65.59), who posts the low score for the 3rd straight week. Braylon and Randy are not performing, and injuries and no touchdowns hurt the rest of the team. Larry Johnson finally does something though. Uncle Chris rolls with Baltimore eating Cleveland alive and MoJo looking good against the terrible Indianapolis rin D.
Brandon (Chunder Blunderes - 80.98) gets the most points from his defensive spots, and that's never a good sign. He still does ok with several decent performances, but it's not enough to take down newly married Jacob (Miracle Workers - 111.19) who gets two miracles this week. A girl willing to say yes and a good game from Addai. Just kidding, congrats my man!
Number 1 Ben (thehousebergerbuilt - 93.50) posts a more reasonable score but it's against almost the worst score in the league, Dad (ChumpBeaters - 66.29). Favre wins the Favre vs. Rodgers battle but can't win the war. How many passes did he complete to the Chargers anyway? Ben gets nothing from the RB pair that was killing people week 1. But Philly's D destroys Ben Roethlisberger to give Ben Berger the win.
Kevin (Buc-ee's Boys - 103.94) breaks the century mark against Stitch (Rust Belt - 80.49). Kevin actually player Ronnie Brown and it pays off massively. 5 TDs? 40 points from your RB? Wow. Kevin gets 57 points from his 2 RBs, and that's enough even with a lot of other crappy scores. Minnesota's D is the only other notable position. Stitch's WRs struggle and his more even scores aren't enough to get past Kevin.
Three unbeatens left. Ben has the toughest matchup against Jake, the top 2-1 team. Jake has over 100 points each week. Three teams on the schneid, even though two of them (Brandon and Stitch) have scores that would put them in the middle of the league. Miah finally does not look like an early season favorite. And neither do the Browns. Clowns. Bow-downs.

Week 2 Wrap (08-09)
Week 2 is out just like Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson. Reportedly.
Matchup of the week is tough to pick. We had 2 matchups where both players went over the century mark... one of those was the only 2 unbeatens to play this week, but it's only week 2... so we'll give it to:
Uncle Chris (Space Cadets - 105.57) knocks off last year's champ Dad (ChumpBeaters - 93.32). Both teams have nice scores across, except for the QBs. Uncle Chris has Boldin blow up which is really the difference. Notable that Uncle Chris was behind by about 7 on Monday night with T.O. to go, and T.O. does what he does best... errr... second best, and scores a few TDs. The thing he does best is sound like an idiot. But he was only the 2nd biggest idiot on the field as DeShawn Jackson threw away an easy touchdown by dropping it near the goal line. Untouched, literally he dropped it because he was trying to show off and dropped it too early. This forces Westbrook to do the scoring for him. Uncle Chris is .500 for the first time in his FFB career! Is Dad lost without Brady?
The beneficiary of Westbrook's extra TD is Ben (thehousebergerbuilt - 139.36) who spanks another good score for Brandon/Jim (Chunder Blunders - 103.93). Brandon would have beat 7 other teams but comes up against the wrong player again. The luckstick is still paying for the illegitimate 2006 championship. Ben got maybe the best performance of the year from McNabb and Willie Parker last week, and this week does the same with Aaron Rodgers Santana Moss. Is this going to fade or is he going to put up 139 points each week? Ben really does get almost the same total score from last week even though his numbers vary so much by position.
The highest scoring matchup of the week is Jacob (Miracle Workers - 116.07) falling to me (Juicers - 147.47). I get a whopping 5 players with more than 15 points. Jake's Defender makes a valiant effort, scoring as many TDs as his QB, but it's not enough. Jake gets the highest losing score this week, which marks the 2nd week in a row that the highest losing score plays against me. Tough luck guys. Darren McFadden takes his rightful place as a star for me when Justin Fargas gets hurt, but the teams is running about 45 times per game, so no matter what the Oakland backfield is going to see plenty of work. Warner continues his roll from last year for me, and might be a top fantasy QB picked very late. But you can only play Miami occasionally. Jake has Chris Johnson looking good for his own rookie RB find. I set a new season scoring record, and we put up 263 points between us for the early matchup record.
Another high scoring matchup has Mom (Rockhoppers - 122.19) stay unbeaten over Stitch (Rust Belt - 97.37) who stays un-unbeaten. Rivers and Romo post huge scores, but Rivers is the 2nd to top scorer of the week, and Mom wins on the strength of that and by chipping up a little with her kicker and defender. McGee was my defender last year and I can't believe how early she took him away from me this year (round 13!) but I guess it's paying off so far. He has lots of tackles, return yards, and an interception per game so far. Torry Holt proves the Rams aren't totally fantasy-irrelevant for Stitch, and Portis goes off for 2 TDs. The real story here is Stitch played a Pittsburgh defender against his hometown team and got run over by karma.
Jeremiah (Shakers and Quakers - 41.39) has pointed out his team sucks, and finds no trouble making a believer of Rowan (Aspire Mi Toro - 88.21). Rowan actually wins with Mark Bulger, which I believed would never happen this year. Jonathan Stewart is yet another rookie running back making noise, while Miah loses Justin Fargas to injury for who knows how long. Miah's doesn't put anyone into double digits, but leaves a few good performances on the bench. Devin Hester got hurt, and one more of Hasselbeck's targets is out, too. Maybe Miah should pick up some Steelers so they can get hurt, too.
Kate (teen girl squad - 84.77) doesn't think anyone should vote for her, but everyone but Jacob knows better. Kevin (Buc-ees' Boys - 61.36) has an even worse day. But it's really a pretty sad matchup. In fact I think I'll call it a matchdown. This matchdown featured a -3.03 score, which might be the lowest I've seen, and 2 aughts. Nick Folk the kicker posted the 3rd highest score in the matchdown. Both teams actually have some talent, and Kate gets Steve Smith back next week as well. Kate gets the luckstick award with the lowest winning score, which only beats 2 other scores this week and she happens to play one of them.
Mike (Zingers - 117.79) hangs a good scores on The Winklers (Sooners - 88.83). Some crazy performances in this matchup. Brandon Marshal catches 18 freaking passes, and Mike actually put him in the lineup! Jay Cutler sets the single position 1 game record so far with 46.90 points. Those two account for 72 of Mike's points. Which I think is more than Miah has total over 2 weeks (not true, but closer than you might think). Felix Jones has 250 return yards and a TD.
Only 4 unbeatens left already, and Mom and I play week 3 so guaranteed to be 3 max next week. Ben retains the top spot with another huge score. Brandon has 188 total points with 0 wins, Mike has 197 with 2 wins.
